Congratulations! Welcoming a new member to your family is a special time like no other! This is a perfect time to have a beautiful portrait created of your child. Our newborn photography goes beyond snapping a few photographs. We will create an heirloom to be treasured for generations. Our award-winning newborn and child portraits have been recognized throughout the country for their unique and heartfelt emotion.

Style

We offer two kinds of newborn sessions, a posed session and a lifestyle session. Do you love our signature images of a sleeping baby? Do you love props? Then a posed session is for you. If you are drawn more the images of a new mom and dad holding their precious baby and gazing at their tiny feet, then the lifestyle session is best.

Location

Our studio in Scarborough, Maine, is fully equipped with beautiful backdrops, cuddly blankets, props, and changing table. It's relaxed and cozy. If it's your home you'd prefer to have the session, we can do that do. We recommend the studio for posed sessions, but are happy to discuss doing your lifestyle session on location.

Scheduling

To achieve the peaceful, sleeping newborn portrait, we recommend scheduling your session when baby is 4-14 days old. It's recommended to contact us prior to your due date and we can schedule your photo appointment. Not to worry if baby arrives early or late, we will take great care to be sure your session happens.

Clothing & Props

You are welcome to bring any special clothing or props to your session. Prior to your appointment we will discuss your needs. We have an abundance of newborn wraps, outfits, blankets, and props, too!

Maternity Portraits

Looking to capture this extraordinary time? Why not have us create your maternity portrait? We create a custom look with flowing fabrics and accessories. Your journey to motherhood will be a work of art. Wondering how far along you should be for maternity photos? We recommend 30-34 weeks into your pregnancy.

Investment

Do you offer packages? How much is your 8x10? This is a frequent question. In all honestly, not everyone's needs are for an 8x10 photo. Perhaps you want a fine art canvas to display in the nursery or an album. But, since you asked.... Our newborn packages begin at $200.
